This police station is started functioning in Bldg: No 38/730 –A of corporation of kochi on 20. 05. 2007 vide G. O (Rt) 1326/07- Home dtd 18.05.2007. The station building was inaugurated by Shri KODIYERI BALAKRISHNAN, Hon,ble minister for Home, Vigilance & Tourism, Govt of Kerala, Shri K.V. Thomas, MLA presided the function in the presence of Shri Sebastain Paul M.P, Shri Arun kumar sinha IPS, Inspector General of police South Zone, Shri Ravada . A. Chandrasekhar IPS , Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ernakulam range and Shri Manoj Abraham IPS , Commissioneer of police kochi city were participated in the function.
Is a downtown region in the city of Kochi. Kadavanthra is especially notable as home for the headquarters of the GCDA. The region is an emerging commercial high street with several leading retail stores and many luxury hotels.

Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium

Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium or Regional Sports Centre is a multipurpose sports centre in Kochi, Kerala, India. The stadium is one and only multipurpose world class Sports Centre in India and is situated in 4 acres (16,000 m2) of land, the centre has the facilities for badminton, tennis, basketball, table tennis, swimming, billiards and indoor cricket nets. This Indoor stadium is floodlit using 1 kW Metal Halide lamps which provide lighting for color television telecast to international standards.This stadium has a capacity of 10,000 persons. The stadium is named after former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Indoor Tennis Complex has world-class level four synthetic tennis courts with modern technology. Indoor Tennis Complex was inaugurated in 2000 by Padmabushan Ramanathan Krishnan. Table Tennis Hall has four tables with a latest Butterfly Robot with a capacity to hold 400 balls at a time. The stadium has a swimming pool with 25*10 meters and is maintained by International standards.

Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA)

Greater Cochin Development Authority (GCDA) is the statutory body overseeing the development of the City of Kochi in the state of Kerala, India. Technically, GCDA oversees the development of the major part of Greater Cochin area which consists of the Cochin Corporation, surrounding municipalities (Thrippunithura, Thrikkakara, Aluva, Kalamassery, Maradu, Eloor, North Paravur, Angamaly, and Perumbavoor) and intervening panchayats ((Chellanam, Kumbalanghy, Cheranelloor, Varappuzha, Chennamangalam, Kadamakkudy, Kadungalloor, Alengad, Chengamanad, Nedumbassery, Chottanikkara, Choornikkara, Edathala, Kumbalam, Kottuvally and others) covering an area of 632 km2. This has a population of 2,589,038 (2001 census). GCDA is one of the two development authorities in Kochi, the other being GIDA which oversees development in the islands towards west of the Kochi mainland, and north of the harbour, covering a total area of 100 km2. GCDA was the first exclusive agency formed for the development of any urban area in the state of Kerala. This led to the formation of development authorities for other cities in the state. The first of these were TRIDA – the Trivandrum Development Authority. Later development authorities were formed for Kozhikode and Thrissur as well.
