Man Who Cheated And smuggled Steel From Iron Shop Has Been Arrested
Udayamperoor police have arrested a man who cheated and smuggled steel from an Iron shop in Udayamperoor. The arrested has been identified as 41-year-old Mujeeb Rahman, son of Abdul Salam, Farsana Mansil a native of Kondotty in Malappuram. On March 25 last year, the accused went to the Iron shop in Udayamperoor and met the owner of the shop under the false name and took the iron cane worth Rs 5 lakh in the name of a fake company and cheated him by producing forged documents on the pretext that the price had been deposited in the account of the shop owner. Later, the shop owner, who realised that he was a victim of the fraud, approached the court. Udayamperoorja police registered a case on the directions of the court and arrested the accused from Malappuram. There are 11 cases pending against him in various police stations in Malappuram district. Further steps are being taken.
