Accused arrested for extorting money by threatening
Mattancherry police have arrested the accused who stopped a biker in front of the Ansar church in Mattancherry and stole the money by threatening him. The chullikkal native, who had gone out of work to have tea last evening, was stopped and demanded money and his wallet snatched and beaten up. Following the complaint, the Mattancherry police conducted an investigation and arrested Althaf , 24, son of Kamal native of Fort Kochi. The arrest was made by SI Rupesh and his team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police V.G.Raveendra nath, Mattanchery subdivision. In Ernakulam city, there are many cases pending in various stations. Further steps are being taken.
