Man arrested for stealing money by stopping minors
Mattancherry police have arrested the accused who stole money by stopping minor children.The arrested has been identified as Anjasal Shah, son of Anwar Chakkaraidukku 3/820 Veettil,Mattancherry.At 12.30 pm last night, the children, who were returning from Lulu Mall, were stopped at Mattancherry Lobo Junction, threatened and physically abused, after which rs 4,000 was seized from them and released.He then sought treatment at Karuvelippady Hospital along with his relative and lodged a complaint with the Mattancherry police station. Mattancherry police inspector Thriteep Chandran, SIs Rupesh, Mukundan, Joseph Fabian, ASI Sathyan, SCPO Jeevan and CPO Sunil nabbed the accused on the directions of Assistant Commissioner of Police V.G. Raveendranath. The Mattanchery Police arrested him on the instruction of Mattanchery Assistant Commissioner Sri. VG Ravindranath.He is an accused in several similar cases in various police stations in Ernakulam city and has been convicted.The accused is produced in court and further action is taken
