Nigerian national arrested for smuggling MDMA drugs to Kerala

 The Palarivattom police have arrested a 36-year-old man named Okafor Ese Emmanuel, a Nigerian native of Nigro origin, who was exporting the deadly drug MDMA to Kerala. According to the police, he is the main link of the African-origin drug mafia, which is being transported in large quantities of MDMA from Delhi and Bangalore to Kerala while staying in Bangalore.  On 28.07.2022, the Palarivattom police had arrested haroon sulzhathan for keeping 102.04 grams of MDMA for sale in two zip envelopes in a scooter parked on the link road of Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kaloor.Following the investigation, members of their gang Alin Joseph, Niju Peter and Alan Tony were also arrested.Varghese Joseph Fernandes, 34, the son of Antony Walter Varghese Fernandes, a resident of Sunil Cottage on Fort Kochi's Infant Jesus Road, was arrested by the police in connection with the investigation into the gang that smuggled drugs to Kerala in large quantities from Delhi and Bangalore.During his interrogation, information about Okafor Esse Emmanuel, who was of Negro descent, was obtained. During the investigation, it was revealed that 4.5 kg of MDMA was transferred to Kerala to Ernakulam in the last six months. After learning about the arrest of his accomplices, Okafor Ese Emmanuel switched off his mobile phone and shifted his residence.He was arrested by a team led by Palarivattom police inspector Sanal  from KR Puram in Bengaluru after an investigation was conducted with the help of cyber cell and WhatsApp company.The accused who showed resistance was arrested in a daring manner.  The accused was produced in court and remanded. Investigations revealed that the largest number of MDMA was being transferred to Kerala, especially kochi. According to the police, He is a key link in the Drug Mafia based in Bangalore. 

As part of the special investigation against the use and marketing of drugs across Kerala, as per the instructions of Kochi City Police Commissioner Sri Nagaraju  Chakkilam IPS,under the supervision of  DCP Shri. Sasidharanja IPS and Ernakulam Asst. Commissioner  Shri. RajkumarThe accused was nabbed from Bangalore by an investigation team led by Palarivattom SHO Sri. Sanal S and it comprises of, SCPO Saneep Kumar , CPOs Mahin Abubacker, Arun Surendran and Unnikrishnan. Further steps are being taken.
