Massive Drug Haul Under Police In Kochi

Kochi: The Mattancherry police have arrested a youth with 500 grams of MDMA worth Rs 25 lakh. Srinish, 32,  son of  Suresh of Murikkumthara House, Koovapadam,Mattancherry,  was arrested by the police.The accused was arrested as part of Combing conducted at Mattanchery Subdivision by Assistant Commissioner, Mattanchery Sub Division Sri VG Raveendranath and his team contains Sri.Thritheep Chandran SHO Mattanchery, Sri. Roopesh Sub Inspector of Police, Sri. KR Madhu soodanan, Sri.AnilnKumar, Sri Edwin Rose and Sri Aneesh of Mattanchery Police Station on  yesterday night (29.09.2022, 23.00 Hrs) as per the direction of   the  Kochi city Police Commissioner & Inspector General of Police Sri. Nagaraju Chakilam IPS and  Deputy Commissioner (L&O,Traffic) Sri. Sasidharan S.

500 grams of MDMA, Rs 20,136 received from the sale, a weighing scale and small ziplock covers were recovered from the accused. During the investigation, it was found that such a huge quantity of drugs were brought from Bangalore by a native of Kochi, who is a friend of the accused. The accused is also an accused in the case of seizing money by showing antiquities at the Hill Palace police station. He is also an accused in a case related to the sale of drugs by the excise department.
