Two youths were arrested with hashish oil worth Rs 50 lakh in Kochi.

 Sujil (23) of Parayil House in Nettoor, Ernakulam and Ansal (23) of Keeruparambil in Panangad, Madavana were arrested by Kochi City Dansaf and Ernakulam North police. The two arrested are accused in several drug cases at Panangad and Maradu Police stations. They bring hashish, a deadly intoxicant, for sale from Arakkavaliyil, a tribal area filled with forests and hills in Andhra Pradesh. Someone known as Bhai is supplying drugs to those coming from Kerala. After arriving here and fixing the price, the needy in Kochi send the money through Google Pay. There are agents who charge up to Rs 1,500 per lakh to send money for such purposes.They reach Kochi by train from Andhra Pradesh and give it to small groups for sale. Rs 1,000 is charged for three grams.

On the basis of a tip-off received by the Kochi City Police Commissioner & Inspector General of Police Nagaraju Chakilam IPS, as per the instructions of deputy commissioner of police (L&O) S Sasidharan IPS, under the leadership of Assistant commissioner of police, Narcotic Cell the accused were arrested by Inspector of police, Sri.Biju Kumar, Sub Inspector of Police Akhil Dev,Sreekumar of Ernakulam Town Police Station and DANSAF team.
